The Gift of Change: Love is the Creative Force of the World
As a spiritual world leader you are called to be a change agent. Change agents know that everything has its price. You must choose between something you are comfortable with and something you want to have. Now, with COVID-19 all of humanity is collectively being given the opportunity to be global change agents. Remember that creativity is our secret weapon to thrive in the face of change, and it can inoculate us against the contagion of fear. Believe it or not, creativity is made for times like these! Love is the creative force of the world.
Carl Jung told us, "The paradox is one of the most valuable spiritual possessions...only the paradox comes anywhere near to comprehending the fullness of life." Change is one of life's paradoxes, the only way you can continuously grow is if you change, and the only way you can change is if you learn, and the only way you can learn is if your heart is open. When your heart is open, God can come in and inspire you. Creativity is born--it is the way to co-create with God. When we want something the whole universe conspires to give it to us: through a creative solution, or idea. However you are inspired, love makes it easier at crucial moments to know what you must do. Too often people don't realize they are being supported with creative inspirations, therefore love is not recognized, and it's a missed opportunity to extend gratitude to God.
Leo Tolstoy says, "Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself." What do you believe about change? Do you believe you can change the world without first changing yourself? Do you believe that changing is hard? Ultimately, these are often hidden conditioned beliefs that cause people to resist evolving; fearful of change you stop learning and growing, and your heart closes. When the heart closes it renders you incapable of being a change agent. Fear of changing is a pervasively held unconscious belief for many. Not dealing with our internal depths, we react out of fear--instead of out of love: love is the creative force of the world. How each of us plays out our role by choosing either fear or love, will affect the end of the play. We all are actors in this great unfolding global drama, brought about by COVID-19, and it is not a dress rehearsal.
When we see that resistance to changing ourselves makes it impossible to change the world, it is an awakening.
Unfortunately, you are hearing a great deal about the fear and anxiety in the world. Yes, freedom and the survival of the world is at stake. We are coping with intense amounts of chaos and fear, individually and collectively. The collective consciousness is overwhelmingly negative. However, the gift humanity is being given because of these global events is to develop a more mature aware consciousness--one rooted in love. We are all being challenged, in one way or another, to be reborn (recreate of lives). In order to do this we must admit what is broken, let it go, and come up with creative ways to transmute and transform what has not served humanity for decades.
Socrates told us, "The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new." Change requires making new decisions. Making a decision is only the beginning of things. When someone makes a decision, she's really diving into a strong current that will carry her to places she had never dreamt about when she first made the decision--this is a rebirthing.
Change occurs constantly in life. Being in nature reminds us that the only permanent in life is eternal change. So, what is a person to do if they are afraid of change? Or if they believe that change is too hard? Lao Tzu tells us, "Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like." First, you must see your fear of change. You can't change the fear; you have to dive into it and let it consume you. When the fear has consumed you, a gift is given to you: freedom. If you truly are ready to create a new world where all people live in freedom, cherishing the Earth, you must be willing to be a change agent. "Seeing" is the solution, besides the fact that you can't really change anything anyway (the paradox); when you see or understand, change is spontaneous. This is so on both the personal and global levels: as you become more consciously aware the world becomes awakened.
It is the depth of the darkness now confronting our world that will reveal to us the magic of who we really are. It is when we face the darkness head on--in ourselves and in the world--that we begin to see the light. And that is the alchemy of personal transformation. Only on the darkest night, only when we are humbled by the limits of what we can do, does it begin to dawn on us the limitlessness of what God can do--Love is the creative force of the world.
