Bio: Rev. Stephanie is the Founding Minister of the Tree of Life Interfaith Temple, a non-denominational church she founded in 2009. She is the director of the Tree of Life School for Sacred Living and creator of the Tree of Life Interfaith Seminary, a two-year program, focused on the integration of prayer, meditation and spiritual practices from the world’s major faith traditions. The twenty–six module core curriculum, The Path of Crow: Journey to Your Inner Treasure, invites seminarians on the ultimate treasure hunt to discover their divine purpose and to offer their unique gifts in service to the greater good. In addition, she created an optional third year, the Spiritual Mentoring Certificate Program, which trained seminarians, as well as health care professionals, in cultivating pastoral mentoring skills.
Rev. Stephanie earned the Doctor of Ministry degree in 2017 from Andover Newton Theological School (now Andover Newton Seminary at Yale) where she graduated with honors and was inducted into the Jonathan Edwards Society. Her dissertation, “The Call of the Mourning Dove: How Sacred Sound Awakens Mystical Unity,” was awarded the Frederick Buechner Prize for Excellence in Writing. She graduated from the New Seminary in New York City in 2005 and was ordained an interfaith minister. In the 1980s and 90s, Rev. Dr. Rutt worked as a mental health counselor and taught for many years on the college level in the behavioral sciences including eight years with the University of New Hampshire. During that time period, she also earned certifications in various yoga and meditation disciplines and in the late 90s opened the Tree of Life Yoga Studio which later became the Tree of Life School for Sacred Living. Bio: Shri. Dileepkumar Thankappan, internationally known as "Avadhuta H.H. Guruji is the only person took "Sanyasa Diksha" (monkhood) from Yogiraj Jagatguru His Holiness Swami Bua Ji Maharaj. In 1979, Guruji starts teaching yoga to his sports team members and friends in his native place Tripunithura. In 1988, as a freelance yoga master, Guruji established the "International Gurukulam" spiritual movement in India. Guruji was the founder and director of "International Gurukulam, LLC. DBA / Yogabhavan in New York City. He was a manager of the Crag Management LLC. DBA / Extra Vertical Climbing center "The Tallest Rock Climbing Wall in New York City" on 62nd Street on Broadway and trained numerous people in rock climbing and conducted numerous rock climbing competitions for the Big Apple community. Through the rock climbing training center, Guruji served numerous children from Public Schools, members of JCC, New York Cares, cadets of Scouts, Hollywood Artists, FD & NYPD Officers, pioneers who climbed Mount Everest, journalists from major media and tourists. Guruji is involved with numerous NGOs around the world and a mentor for many people. He was the International Ambassador for International Yoga Federation and World Yoga Council from 2004 to 2010. He is the US representative to the Universal Parliament of Religions, in Argentina, Honorary Advisor of the "World Yoga Foundation", Advisor of Global yoga Alliance in India, and a Trustee of the "All Faiths Seminary International". Guruji is an active yogi in social media and serving people globally. He was an NGO representative to the ECOSOC, United Nations in 2015 and 2016. Currently, he is the Secretary of the Committee of Religious NGOs, Vice President of the UNSRC - Salus Wellness Network at the United Nations HQ and NGO Representative to the United Nations Department of Global Communications in New York. He often performs mantras & prayers at the Borough halls & constantly interacting with international politicians, artists, Rabbis, Swamis, Gurus, Bishops, Imams, Monks, diplomats including high officials from the United Nations. Guruji was the founder and president of "World Yoga Community Inc." and "International Gurukula Community, Inc." (not-for-profit-organizations). He is one of the yogis who started the "International Day of Yoga" movement for the global community. Since 1999, he has been traveling around the world and promoting Universal Spirituality, Yoga, Ayurveda, Natural Self Healing Techniques, Interfaith Harmony & Peace, Vedic Teachings of India, Human Values & Rights, Global Citizenship, Total Literacy, Gender Equality, Non-violence, Healthy Living, Environmental Protection, Climate Change, Oneness Wisdom Fellowship, Spiritual Fine Arts and Sports, Global Social, Cultural & Economic Development, Indigenous Knowledge and Sustainable Development and Eradication of Poverty. He is a recipient of several peace awards and titles for his yogic services to humanity. He is considered to be a new age celebrity yogi and humanitarian having multifaceted talents and a wide range of friends from homeless people he serves to diplomats. He often gives discourses and is interviewed by media around the world. Currently, Guruji is conducting social, cultural, and yogic lifestyle-related classes, events, workshops, meetings, and festivals in New York City. His mission is to cultivate global peace and harmony through yogic life teachings.
